The 24-layer Marilyn likes it hotter artist proof edition is finished. This A/P edition was printed in reverse from the normal Marilyn likes it hotter edition. Above is currently printing the normal edition but in the mean time we wanted to share these final preview photos.
There are only 11- prints in the A/P reverse edition. Above hand painted, and stenciled many layers on every print making each print significantly unique. Check out a preview of the final results. We greatly appreciate your support and interest.

INK & PAPER: Lennox-100 archival white 250 gsm paper. Each piece of paper has hand torn deckle edges. The paper size is 45 cm wide X 60 cm tall ( 18 in wide X 24 in tall ) Above hand painted each print individually with spray paint, acrylic paint, oil sticks, and screen printing inks.
PRINT FEATURES: This print has 24 layers, hand finished and printed by Above. Each print is signed with pencil on the front. The reverse of each print is signed, dated, numbered, and custom stamped. Each print is a unique 1-off variant made with passion, attention, and love.

Marilyn likes it hotter (process 1)
You noticed in the previous post that Above has finished the revere, artist’s proof edition of the Marilyn likes it hotter print. Not wasting any time he has jumped right in and started working on the normal edition. We appreciate your interest and hope you enjoy seeing these process photos.
Above cuts a stencil to be put directly on top of each print. The effect makes each print have it’s own unique colorway.
Prior to putting the cut stencil on top of each print he paints the background with spray paint, oil sticks, and acrylic brush paints.
